Lois
was seriously injured in a stage accident and sustained soft tissue
damage that left her bed-ridden and in pain for over ten months.
She tried almost every conventional form of pain management available
but to no avail. After ten months of pain, Lois was willing to try
anything that would offer relief. It was then that she began to
explore alternative therapies.
When modern,
medical science failed to heal or even manage Lois' pain, other
modalities did not. What started as simply the pursuit of pain relief,
later evolved into a television production.
Lois had a lot
of recovery to participate in, so while the process was in motion,
she used her creativity and show business background to orchestrate
an interactive journal of sorts. Lois began to create, write, and
eventually star in, her own television production, New Age of
Aquarius.
Produced entirely
in Australia in 1997 by Lois' and her husband, Gary Steele, NAQ
was an instant hit. A couple of years later, Lois returned to the
US and took the concept to market, eventually finding a home with
Wisdom Television based in Virginia. Years before the accidental
discovery by television networks that interactive TV was a winning
ticket, Lois was ahead of her time and leading the world in quality,
alternative television production.
